Jamshedpur: Class IX students of DBMS English School attended a special counseling session along with their parents on Saturday.

They were apprised about the requirement of academics standard in standard IX and were given guidance on appropriate plans for study.

The parents and students raised queries which were answered by the principal, Mrs. Rajani Shekhar and joint chairpersons Mr. B. Chandrashekhar and Mrs. Lalitha Chandrashekhar.

The vice-principal, Mr. P. K. Sahu, co-ordinator Mrs. Brinda Venkataraman, Secretary of School Managing Committee Mrs. Hema Raghavan and Treasurer – Mrs. Lakshmi Varadharajan were also present.

    Those who need counselling most are the Principal and the teaching staff of that school. They don’t know anything about modern pedagogy or even the Right to Education Act. They are committing cruelty against children.
