Jamshedpur, July 31: The District Administration has beefed up security arrangements in view of Eid-ul-Adha on Saturday. A total of 110 magistrates would be deployed in the city as part of security arrangements for peaceful observance of the festival.
SSP M Tamil Vanan said that they have reviewed the security arrangements planned for the day. “In several police personnel would be deployed for peaceful observance of Eid festival and to provide adequate security to the people here,” he said. He told reporters that CRPF, RAF, policemen and home guards are also being deployed.
Pickets would be posted and round the clock patrolling done to maintain law and order, he said, adding peace committee meetings have been held with various communities, who have assured cooperation for peaceful observance of the festival.
He also instructed to make effective police picketing and snap checking on the exits and entrances of sensitive parts of the city and take important steps for police mobile, motorcycle on on-foot patrolling to keep close vigil on suspected elements.
East Singhbhumadministration has ordered deployment of around 600 strong force of district police accompanied by Rapid Action Force (RAF) jawans at strategic locations in
communally sensitive pockets of city especially in Mango, Sakchi, Jugsalai, Shastrinagar (in Kadma), Dhatkidih (in Bistupur), Masjid Road (in Golmuri) and Bhalubhasa (in Sitaramdera).
Entry of heavy vehicles to city would be prohibited from 6 am till 11 pm tomorrow.
“ As per the orders the forces deployment would be from evening to morning along with deployment of magistrates who would be doing vigil in communally sensitive.
We have also held several rounds of meetings with peace committee meetings at all the police stations and their members would also be helping the administration,” said an official.
