Jamshedpur, Jan 27: A 28-year-old youth was shot and injured by two bike-borne criminal under adjoining Kandra thana area this afternoon. The criminals have looted Rs 2 lakh having shot at the victim identified as Mohammed Zamal alias Kalim near Chadri railway bridge under Kandra thana area.

The victim who is a resident of Kolabira in Gamharia has sustained bullet injury and was rushed to the MGM Medical College Hospital where he is stated to be out of danger.

According to information, Kalim who is a businessman was returning home having collected the money from the retailers from Chowka area in Seraikela-Kharsawan district and suddenly, the two bike- bone criminals overtook him and intercepted his bike.  Having stopped his bike, they forced him to get down and take him to a bush where they asked him to hand over the money he was carrying.

But when he tried to protest one of the criminals fired a shot at his shoulder and snatched away the bag that was containing the cash. Having left the victim in a pool of blood the two criminals fled the scene on their bike.

OC, Shailendra Kumar of Kandra thana confirmed about the snatching of Rs 2 lakh after gun-shot assault on a trader at Kandra. ” We rushed him to MGM Medical College Hospital for treatment.  We have started investigating into the matter having taken a statement from the victim.
