Jamshedpur, April 20 : Police have arrested a couple for luring three girls, including two minor from Parsudih area of the city to Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh for providing them job. The couple identified as Suresh Murmu (35) and KiranMurmu (32) was arrested as they had taken the three girls without informing their parents. The girls were rescued by the Childline with the help RPF, Tatanagar at Tatanagar station.
Two of the minor girls (14 years and 15 years) are resident of Sarjamdas, the third one, a 25-year-old girl is a resident of Chholagora, under Parsudihpolice station area.
In this connection, the police have registered a case of abduction on the basis of an FIR lodged by father of one of the girls.
According to police, the three girls had on Sunday evening come to the house of one ChunaramMurmu and met Suresh Murmu and wife Kiran.
“The news break up when one of the victims who is 25-year-old had informed her brother over phone that they are with Suresh and Kiran. She had also complained that all the three of them were not being food regularly. On getting the information, the girl’s brother contacted Suresh and threatened that he would lodge an FIR with the Parsudihpolice against him and his wife if he does not bring back the girls immediately. It was after getting intimidated that Suresh and his wife boarded Elleppy-Tata Express and reached here at Tatanagar station this morning,” said the police.
According to the police, on their arrival at the Tatanagar station, the parents of the girls received the victims and contacted the RPF, Tatanagar for necessary action against the couple.
