Jamshedpur: Republic Day was celebrated with great fervour in Tata Steel.
Addressing a gathering on the occasion, the managing director of the company TV Narendran said that corruption was a big challenge before the country.
He said the process of registration was a rather complicated process both for the country as well as the company.
The Republic Day ceremony was organized at the main gate of the company. The MD hoisted the Tricolour around 8.15 am. He inspected the guard of honour and a parade conducted by the National Cadet Corps and students of SNTI.
In his address, Narendran further said that there was need for development in the country. He said the company had also seen numerous changes in the last 100 years of its history.
The country too, had seen such changes. He appealed to the people and the company staff to
keep growing and progressing by adapting themselves to the changes and the new challenges.
The Tata Steel MD TV Narendran, speaking to scribes, said that the
economy could improve in case the international market picked up as per expectations.
He said there was not enough improvement in the economic condition yet. He said the company’s production had increased since December last.
He said the production will further improve in the coming time.
