12 deaths, 1123 new cases in Jharkhand
Jamshedpur, Sept. 29: Coronavirus cases continue to rise in Jamshedpur. The positive cases have climbed to 13,707 in district with 209 new cases reported on Tuesday.
Positive tally has climbed to 13,707 while the death toll has reached 318 with 3 deaths on Tuesday. 93 people recovered of the virus on taking the total recovery to 11257 while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 2132.
The district administration spokesperson informed that 209 corona positives have been identified in the East Singhbhum district on Tuesday.
With a total of 1,123 fresh cases of Coronavirus being detected across the state on Tuesday the overall tally of Covid-19 patients in Jharkhand has reached to 82,540.
During the day 12 deaths were reported including 5 from Ranchi, 3 from East Singhbhum, 2 from Bokaro, and 1 each from Dhanbad and Ramgarh districts after which the overall death count has increased to 700 in the state.
The mortality rate among the patients currently stands at 0.84 percent. As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 11,942 while number of cured and discharged cases stood at 69,898. The total number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 700. On Tuesday a maximum number of 319 cases were found in Ranchi, followed by 209 in East Singhbhum, 119 in Bokaro, 54 in West Singhbhum and 39 in Saraikela. A total of number of 1,295 people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities during the day including 517 from Ranchi, 99 from Dhanbad, 93 from East Singhbhum, 66 from Saraikela and 54 from West Singhbhum districts. Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved significantly and has once again gone above 80 percent mark to currently stand at 84.67 percent in Jharkhand. So far in the state 22,22,956 samples have been collected out of which 22,13, 350 have been tested and 21,30, 810 have turned out to be negative. The first case of the pandemic was reported from Hindpiri on March 31, when a 22-year-old Malaysian woman, who had been to Delhi’s Tablighi Jamaat congregation, tested positive. She has since been discharged after being recorded from the dreaded disease.
The Jharkhand government has extended the coronavirus pandemic-triggered lockdown in containment zone in the state till September 30. However, all the economic activities in the state are allowed outside containment zones.
