Jamshedpur, Sept. 25: Coronavirus cases continue to rise in Jamshedpur. The positive cases have climbed to 12,758 in district with 147 new cases reported on Friday.
Positive tally has climbed to 12,758 while the death toll has reached 305 with 2 deaths on Friday. 210 people recovered of the virus on Friday taking the total recovery to 10441 while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 2012.
The district administration spokesperson informed that 147 corona positives have been identified in the East Singhbhum district on Friday.
With a total of 1,261 fresh cases of Coronavirus being detected across the state on Friday the overall tally of Covid-19 patients in Jharkhand has reached 7,7709 mark.
Six deaths have been reported in Jharkhand on Friday including 2 each from Jamshedpur and West Singhbhum, 1 each from Dhanbad and Godda.
The overall death count stands at 661 in Jharkhand.
As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state is 12,533 while number of cured and discharged cases is 64,515..
On Friday a maximum number of 410 cases were found in Ranchi followed by 144 in Jamshedpur, 88 in Dhanbad, 75 in Deoghar, 63 in Khunti, 40 in Saraikela and 59 in West Singhbhum districts.
A total of 1,270 number of people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities during the day including 210 from Jamshedpur, 184 from Ranchi, 102 from West Singhbhum, 121 from Dhanbad, 109 from Chatra, 38 from Saraikela.
Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved significantly to 83.02 per cent while the mortality rate of Jharkhand is 0.84 %.
The first case of the pandemic was reported from Hindpiri on March 31, when a 22-year-old Malaysian woman, who had been to Delhi’s Tablighi Jamaat congregation, tested positive. She has since been discharged after being recorded from the dreaded disease.
The Jharkhand government has extended the coronavirus pandemic-triggered lockdown in containment zone in the state till September 30. However, all the economic activities in the state are allowed outside containment zones.
