Dharmendra Pradhan visits Noamundi mines of Tata Steel, SAIL

Jamshedpur, Aug 12: Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan visited Noamundi on Monday. He went to the mines and other establishments of Tata Steel and Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL).
After his visit, Pradhan said the companies were doing good work in mining. He said the companies should also pay attention to the development of villages and improvement of lives of the people residing there.
Pradhan arrived at Kutingta helipad. He was received by the deputy commissioner of West Singhbhum Arwa Rajkamal and SP Indrajeet Mahatha. Representatives of SAIL and Tata Steel were also there to welcome him. The Union Minister visited Kiriburu and Gua iron mines and later went to Tata Steel where he learnt about the company’s work culture. He was informed about the use of drones for inspection of mines. Later, he planted a sapling at New Point. He was accompanied by Vice President (Raw Materials) Arun Mishra, GM Atul Bhatnagar and Noamundi Chief RP Mali of Tata Steel. Many district administration officials were present on the occasion.
Earlier, Pradhan inaugurated World Elephant Day celebrations by the forest department at Hathi Chowk. He thereafter went to Gua Dak Bungalow where he was given a guard of honour.
During his Gua visit, he said the mining production should be increased to 10 MT.
