Jamshedpur, Aug 13: Chief Minister Hemant Soren had directed East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner to ensure better healthcare facility Chakulia Block’s Betna Village resident Gaur Chandra Gope whose foot sore condition is deteriorating because of inability to go in for better treatment due to poverty. The Chief Minister has also urged the state Health minister to take note of the matter. Betna Village is under Shyamsunder panchayat.
It all started with former Baharagora legislator and BJP spokesman Kunal Sarangi tweeting a message to Chief Minister Hemant Soren requesting help for the poor Betna villager who had been under tremendous pain due to the sore that had spread to his entire foot due to months because of not being able to avail of medical care caused by extreme poverty. Kunal included a photo of the sore which in itself would narrate the condition and the pain the man was in. The BJP spokesman urged the Chief Minister for immediate attention. The Chief minister too responded promptly by re-tweeting the message to the Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum and the state Health Minister for immediate steps for the treatment of Gaur Chandra Gope. By evening, Gaur Chandra Gope was picked up from Betna and shifted to MGM Hospital in Jamshedpur where he will be provided the best of treatment.
