Jamshedpur, Feb. 5: Preparations for the Founder’s Day celebrations on March 3 in Jamshedpur are on in full swing. Jubilee Park and other institutions of Tata Steel are being prepared to be lit up for the occasion.
The entire Jubilee Park, including the Jayanti Sarovar and Upvan, will be decked up for the week-long festivities. The global thoughts and ideals of the founder, which have strengthened the company’s foundations, would be on displayed.
Apart from Tata Steel and other companies of the Tata Group, hotels and restaurants are also being decked up for the occasion.
It’s not Tata Steel alone but, but the entire steel city is gearing up to celebrate the Founder’s Day, the birth anniversary of J N Tata on March 3. Tata is the founder of Tata Steel and the one who laid the foundation of the semi cosmopolitan city of Jamshedpur in erstwhile Bihar. Inside the works, floats would demonstrate how the departments have incorporated their working based on Tata’s philosophy.
Jusco, a subsidiary of Tata Steel, which looks after civic upkeep in the city area, has already started giving a facelift to Jubilee Park, Bhetiya Park (Kadma), Dorabji Tata Park (Northern Town), and Nildih Park (in Nildih near Telco Colony).
A Jusco official said that apart from illuminations of the parks and decorations, the civic utility service company would be dedicating several important roads whose widening is almost complete.
Several roads and roundabouts like the Office Road, Sakchi Boulevard Road, the Jubilee Road stretch from Circuit House roundabout to Centre for Excellence, and the roundabouts at Sakchi, Voltas Building and Bistupur would be illuminated. Laser graphics would be displayed at the Beldih Lake using a projector.
Besides the annual custom of paying tributes to the legendary founder of Tata Group and organizing celebration inside the premises of Tata Steel as well as illumination of the Jubilee Park, which is primarily the company’s affair, several of the city based social organizations have planned to hold programs on March 3 to pay their heartily tributes to the iconic personality of the Indian history.
These organizations will take out colorful pageantry near Food Plaza on March 3 to pay tributes to the visionary.
