Jamshedpur, Feb 10: Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) was born in Kolkata in 1895 and is a non-government, not-for-profit, industry-led and industry-managed organization, playing a proactive role in India’s development process. As CII is completing 125 years of service to India and Indian Industry in 2020, CII plans to carry out specific initiatives converging on theme “Business and Beyond” across the country and abroad.
To mark this milestone, CII has come up with a ceremonial logo on the occasion its 125 years. The same was formally unveiled by Dr D K Tiwari, Chief Secretary, Government of Jharkhand today at Ranchi in presence of Praveen Kumar Toppo, IAS, Secretary, Department of Industry, Government of Jharkhand; Abu Bakr Siddiqui, IAS, Secretary, Department of Mines, Government of Jharkhand; Neeraj Kant, Chairman, CII Jharkhand State Council & Managing Director, The ISWP Ltd and other CII members.
CII is unveiling this ceremonial logo in each state and Jharkhand is the first state to unveil the same amongst the Eastern and North Eastern States.
Later in the day, the CII@125 logo was also unveiled at Ranchi by N N Sinha, IAS, Secretary-Border Management, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
Today CII has more than 9100 members, from the private as well as public sectors, including SMEs and MNCs, and an indirect membership of over 300,000 enterprises from 291 national and regional sectoral industry bodies.
