Jamshedpur, Feb 12: In a bid to interact with people, Bharatiya Janata Partry
(BJP)’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Wednesday launched the “Chai pe Charcha with NaMo” campaign. The session was relayed at 1000 locations in 300 cities across the country including Jamshedpur where in three different locations campaign kicked off.
The state of Jharkhand was not behind as out of the 1000 locations, 12 were from the state. The campaign was launched in five different locations of state capital Ranchi, three locations
of Jamshedpur, two each in Dhanbad and Bokaro altogether 12 locations in Jharkhand kicked
off the campaign in Wednesday, Feb 12.
Three different locations of Jamshedpur included Golmuri Chowk where the campaign was headed by BJP MLA Raghubar Das in the presence of Mountaineer Premlata Agrawal, Singhbhum Chamber President Suresh Sonthalia, Chandrasekhar Mishra and several others.
The second location of the campaign was Tinplate Chowk where Ex-MLA Saryu Rai headed the campaign along with the presence of Ex MLA Dinanath Pandey, Ex MP Abha Mahato, Binod Singh, Satish Singh, Kulwant Singh ‘Bunty’ and number of party activists. The third location for the campaign was Gamharia where BJP leader Dr. Dineshanand Goswami headed the campaign along with number of party members.
Kicking off the campaign from Ahmadabad, BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi said that ‘people had lost faith in governments. Reminiscing his earlier days as a tea vendor, Modi said that ‘tea and technology has given him this opportunity.’
The event, a simulcast from Ahmedabad, was being broadcasted across many cities in the country encouraging many people to interact with Modi. Speaking at the launch Modi said that tea stalls were like footpath parliament, where all issues were discussed. “Selling tea has taught me many things.
All discussions in India begin over tea,” he said. Speaking to the people from across the country, Modi said that they would discuss ‘good governance.”
