Jamshedpur: Central Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (CGPC) president Sardar Indrajeet Singh welcomed the decision taken by the Railways to add a pantry car to Jallianwala Bagh Express train.
In a statement issued here on Sunday, Singh said the Railways had fulfilled the long-pending demand of passengers from Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. He said the passengers had been pressing the Prime Minister and the Railway Minister to fulfill their demands for the past many years. He said as many as 13 MPs of Punjab as well as the MP of Jamshedpur have been demanding a pantry car in the said train.
Three former MPs of Jamshedpur have also been raising the same demand, said Singh while thanking Union Rail Minister Piyush Goyal, Chief Minister Raghubar Das and MP of Jamshedpur Bidyut Baran Mahato for their role in getting the demand fulfilled.
