Wireless Bharat AirFibre to launch soon

Jamshedpur, July 16: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) expanded its FTTH (fiber-to-the-home) broadband service under the name of Bharat Fibre service to the city of Jamshedpur.

According to a press release issued by General Manager of BSNL Jamshedpur, Sanjeev Verma, FTTH, the fibre to the home service has been acting as a true enabler in enabling the citizens of India including Jamshedpur to remain connected at a very high speed, unmatched by any of the existing technology. FTTH is enabling Digital super Highway to every home.

It further said, Bharat Fibre offers speed upto 100 Mbps on Fibre unmatched by any of the prevalent wireless technology and is also immune from low signal/poor signal quality which one experiences in wireless technology. There is huge demand from the citizen of Jamshedpur. BSNL has provided 4344 connection till date and the number is increasing by 350 connections per month in Jamshedpur, the highest in Jamshedpur circle.        

The press release stated that the FTTH service is available in almost all parts of Jamshedpur including Adityapur, Parsudih and Mango area. In rural area, the said service is available in Chaibasa and Ghatsila. Shortly the service will start in Meghatuburu region also.  

The residents of the Jamshedpur are offered many Bharat Fiber plans by the two most popular plans are: The 600GB CUL plan priced at Rs 849 enables users to browse up to 50 Mbps speed till 600GB with the operator capping the speeds to 2Mbps upon reaching the 600GB limit.

Further, the 750GB Plan priced at Rs 1277 enables users to browse up to 100 Mbps speed till 750GB limit with the operator limiting the speeds to 2 Mbps upon reaching the limit.

BSNL has recently launched Airfibre services and this facility will be launched in Jamshedpur soon for which trial has been successful in Ranchi.  

BSNL Bharat Airfibre will enable homes in rural areas with broadband services which is different from company’s Bharat Fiber FTTH services. BSNL Bharat Fiber offers high-speed broadband from 256 Kbps to 100 Mbps. Meanwhile, Bharat AirFibre is completely wireless and offers broadband up to 50 Mbps, the release said.
