Jamshedpur : Brahmananda Narayana Multispeciality Hospital has gained a landmark accomplishment in the field of cardiac surgery by successfully performing the 1000th cardiac surgery. This is the first hospital in Jamshedpur to have achieved such a remarkable feat in a short span of time. The 1000th patient was a retired professional who was suffering from heart complications.
The cardiac team at Brahmananda Narayana Multispeciality Hospital has performed surgeries with a success rate of 97.8 per cent which includes 588 bypass surgeries, 218 valve surgeries, 158 congenital heart surgeries and 36 vascular surgeries. The hospital has a reputation of performing many of the ‘first surgeries’ in the state and in Eastern India. The youngest patient was recently operated for Ectopia Cordis, one of the rarest conditions with extremely high mortality rate. The oldest patient was a 90year-old lady who underwent a bypass surgery.
Appreciating the efforts of the cardiac team, Vineet Saini, facility director, Brahmananda Narayana Multispeciality Hospital said, “I take this opportunity to congratulate the cardiac team for this distinction.
