Jamshedpur: Although the knife used in the murder of Prakash Yadav has not been traced, but the blood stains and the statements of witnesses would testify to the murder. Police have probed the accused twice on remand in this case. Ravidas alias Chhotku and Vishwanath Munda alias Jeetu, Poulis had claimed to have thrown the knife in a drain but the police are yet to recover.

Regarding the drain where the knife was thrown, the police believe that there was more water flow. When the accused was caught after the murder, it is possible that the knife may have been swept away due to continuous rains. Despite this, they have many such evidences against the accused, which are sufficient to file the charge sheet. It contains blood marks found from the scene as well as recovered clothes of the killers.

It is known that on the night of 21 July, advocate cum BJP leader Prakash Yadav was murdered with a sharp weapon in the Hari temple near his house. After investigation, the police arrested Amulyo Karmakar, Ram Ravidas alias Chhotku and Vishwanath Munda alias Jeetu in this case.
