Jamshedpur, July 29: To pay befitting homage to one of India’s greatest philanthropists and entrepreneurs, Bharat Ratna JRD Tata on his birth anniversary, JAMIPOL sponsored a Blood Donation Camp on Wednesday, July 29. Organized by the East Singhbhum branch of the Indian Red Cross Society at the Red Cross Bhawan, Sakchi, this camp saw more than 52 persons donating blood for a noble and social cause. Faced with acute shortage of blood, the Jamshedpur Blood Bank has appealed for donation of blood from the citizens of Jamshedpur. Bearing this in mind, JAMIPOL has come forward to support this laudable effort.
Earlier in the day, a virtual inauguration of the camp was held in which PS Reddy, Managing Director, and other senior executives of JAMIPOL viewed the inaugural function through video conferencing while Bijay Kumar Singh, Hony Secretary and other senior office bearers of IRCS and Jamshedpur Blood Bank have lit the traditional lamp. Complimenting the IRCS for undertaking to organize a Blood Donation Camp to commemorate the 116th birth anniversary of JRD Tata, Reddy also praised all the office bearers and volunteers of IRCS for making the camp a success.
Bijay Kumar Singh, speaking on the occasion, has thanked JAMIPOL immensely for sponsoring this Camp and also fervently appealed to the citizens to come forward to donate blood which will help the Blood Bank to overcome shortage.
