Jamshedpur, Aug 3: The renovated BJP Jamshedpur Mahanagar office at Kulsi Road in Sakchi was inaugurated today amidst chanting of Vedic mantras and rituals followed by scenes of joy among party executives, members and supporters.
The formal inauguration was organized on the auspicious occasion of Sawan Purnima with prayers and rituals amidst chanting of mantras by a team of priests. The prayers commenced at the auspicious hour of 3 pm and continued till 5 pm. BJP members shouted slogans in tribute to Mother India and the party. Former Jharkhand Chief Minister and senior party functionary Raghubar Das unfurled the party flag as symbolic inauguration of the BJP Jamshedpur Mahanagar office. Consecrated food and sweets were distributed on the occasion.
The office painted in part colours with the inner walls adorned with framed pictures of Ram Darbar, Bharat Mata and portraits of Swami Vivekanand, Bhagwan Birsa Munda, Sidho-Kanhu, Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Madhavrao Sadashiv Rao Golwalkar, Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, Atal Bihari Vajpayee and of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in various poses.
In his inaugural address, Raghubar Das observed, “it is imperative for BJP to stress on mass contact and mass interaction and this is one prime responsibility that the installation of this office needs to fulfill. BJP offices are being opened in every district as per the directives of our national leadership. In many districts, land has been purchased for construction of BJP office buildings. During my tenure as Chief Minister I have had the honour to inaugurate offices in many districts. Now, efforts should be made to construct a party office on own land.”
Raghubar Das extended his best wishes to the newly elected Mahanagar president Gunjan Yadav and congratulated all party executives on the occasion. He said that youth participation would strengthen the party setup in the district and urged that more younger generation members be included in the party.
MP Bidyut Baran Mahto said that the new party office looked attractive after renovation. He said that party activities would get a fillip with the installation of the office. The BJP office, Mahto said, would enable the common citizens to have their problems resolved.
Taking over charge as president of BJP Jamshedpur Mahanagar from his predecessor Dinesh Kumar, Gunjan Yadav said, “This new office is a temple of work for all party executives. The offices will not only enable us to expand our realms of work but will be a platform to connect with the masses. This office will work as a strong chain that will link BJP executives with the people.”
Among the other party leaders and executives who were present on the occasion were Menka Sardar, Subodh Singh Guddu, Amit Kumar, Kunal Sarangi, Rita Mishra, Dinesh Kumar, Ajay Kumar, Amarjit Singh raja, Kalyani Sharan, Sanjiv Kumar, Rajkumar Srivastav, Pawan Agrawal, Ramesh Hansda, Rajesh Kumar Shukla, Bharat Singh, Anil Modi, Vimal Jalan, Appa Rao, Vimal Baitha, Kaju Sandil, Ramesh Nag, Pankaj Sinha and Dhruv Mishra.
