Jamshedpur: A 24-year-old youth died at Mango late last night. The mishap took place on Road No 5 in Sankosai linking Dimna Road under Ulidih thana area in Mango. The victim, Shushil Kumar who was originally a resident of Motihari district in Bihar would stay at his sister’s house on Road No 4 in Sankosai.
Shushil who would work as a computer operator in a private firm was returning home. The bike hit a newly-constructed speed-braker. As he was not wearing the helmet, his head hit on the road. As soon as the mishap took place, someone informed the Ulidih thana, leading a patrolling party to reach the spot and rushed the injured to Tata Main Hospital, where the doctors on emergency duty declared him as brought dead.
The police seized the body and today sent it to the MGM Medical College mortuary for post-mortem.
In a written statement to the police, the victim’s uncle Chandradev Prasad has stated that the mishap took place as a section of local residents set up a faulty speed-breaker on Saturday night itself.
The police have sent the body to the MGM Medical College mortuary for post-mortem having registered a case in connection to the mishap.
OC, Ulidih thana, Chandra Shekhar Kumar said that the mishap took place as the bike was riding in dark and the speed-breaker was constructed few hours before only.
