Baharagora, Aug 26: Former BJP state president Dr Dineshanand Goswami has appealed to bankers to be more liberal in sanctioning loans to farmers, small traders and those engaged in cottage industries. He said that at this juncture, farmers needed to buy manure and pesticides for which banks should come forward to provide financial assistance to them. Dr Dineshanand Goswami was addressing a meeting of party executives in Manusmuria in Baharagora Block.
The former BJP state chief said that the farmers, small traders and those engaged in cottage industry were passing through a financial crunch during the prevailing pandemic times and this was the moment that the banks should provide Mudra loans to such people.
The Manusmuria villagers brought several prevailing problems to the notice of Dr Goswami and sought his intervention for amelioration. The main issues were regarding PMAY, construction of toilets and improvement in power supply.
