Jamshedpur: The Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West and Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur joined hands on spreading awareness on deadly virus AIDS which silently claims innumerable lives every year on an increasing pace.

Mrs. Nalini Rammurthy, Past President of Inner Wheel of Jamshedpur, and Rotarian Mrs. Alakananda Bakshi (also I.S.O of Inner Wheel) spoke on behalf of Inner Wheel and Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West respectively amongst ladies of Baccha singh basti and Balram basti of Marine Drive, on AIDS.

Rammurthy spoke on the common symptoms of AIDS, precautions to keep oneself safe from the disease, how to handle affected person and socialise with him.

She reiterated the fact although unprotected sexual relationship is the primary reason for AIDS, one should always remain careful while taking injections, donating or receiving blood.

If one has to come in contact with blood of another person in case of accident or for some other reason, under no circumstances they should allow their open wounds or cut area to come in contact with the bleeding person.

The session was also attended by Rotarian and Inner wheel Jamshedpur I.S.O. member Alakananda Bakshi, Rotary spouse and Treasurer of Inner Wheel Sujata Sachdev, Rotary spouse and Inner Wheel member Shweta Chand, Rotary spouse Poonam Jha, Rotary spouse and Inner Wheel past President Komal Chopra.
