Jamshedpur: A program was organized at Ambedkar Bhawan in Birsanagar on the occasion of the Constitution maker’s 128th birth anniversary by Dr BR Ambedkar Educational and Cultural Trust.
Chief guest Ramashray Prasad in his address dwelt on Ambedkar’s philosophy, personality and his work.
Guest of honour and social worker Jawaharlal Sharma focused on the Constitution scripter’s self confidence and attributed this facet to Dr Ambedkar’s principles. Ramanuj Singh observed that his determination and will were the two constituents of his strength to achieve social goals.
Senior member of the Trust Md Nehaluddin Khan recalled Dr BR Ambedkar’s concern for the poor, backward classes and the oppressed and it was his efforts to ameliorate these social ills and this should serve the motive to further the cause of an oppressed mankind.
Trust secretary Krishna Mohan Prasad while placing the statement of accounts for the last fiscal stated that a residential school would be set up at Gobarghusi in 2020. The vote of thanks was proposed by JP Bhakat.
