Jamshedpur : All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) today launched its ‘Halla Bol’ agitation demanding ‘special status to Jharkhand. Party activists led by party MLA Ramchandra Sais today launched ‘Halla Bol’ agitation.
Party activists held a demonstration outside the office of the Deputy Commissioner. Their demands include ‘special status to Jharkhand,in addition to the benefits due to the people under various government sponsored programmes such as Food Security,Right to Education and Rights for the Panchayati Raj institutions. The AJSU cadres also staged demonstration at other district and block headquarters across Jharkhand.
Following the programme of the AJSU,other opposition parties such as the BJP and the Jharkhand Vikas Morcha have also raised the demand of ‘special status’ to Jharkhand. MLA announced to make Jharkhand bandh on March 2 successful.
On the occasion, Swapan Kumar Singh Deo , Kanhaiya Singh , Kamalkishore Agarwal , Nandu Patel , Sunil Mahato Mita , Rodeya Soren , Sachin Prasad , Mukesh Prasad, including party workers and leaders were present.
Deo said that the party favours to bring all the sections of the society at one platform and provide them their due shares. “I want the women of Jharkhand to go to the other states as a nurse and other professionals instead of going outside as maid servants,” he added.
