Jamshedpur, Nov 21: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Anoop Birtharay said the district administration made all necessary preparations for a free and fair Assembly elections in East Singhbhum. He said action has been taken against 1760 people under Section 107 of CRPC from the day of imposition of Model Code of Conduct. As many as 200 people have furnished bonds while non bailable warrants have been executed against 474 people, he said.
Birtharay said that 1042 people had deposited their arms while 270 people were exempted from doing so. He said the district police had held meetings with the neighbouring states to ensure peaceful polls. A joint operation is being run by the police of several states, he said.
