Jamshedpur, Aug. 30: A workshop on diagnosis of tuberculosis (TB) disease and method of its treatment was organized at Adhunik Power and Natural Resources Limited, Padampur on Wednesday at Occupational Health Center located in the company premises.
The workshop was organized by the Adhunik Power under the auspices of non-governmental organization ‘Reach’, in which about 45 supervisor-level employees participated in the workshop. Such workshop was especially staged for the Supervisor level employees wherein they have imparted knowledge about side effects of disease.
During the workshop it was told that T.B. called as an infectious disease. It is now possible to treat it very well at the present time. There is a six-month medicine course to cure. Coordinator of NGO Reach Diwakar Sharma conveyed knowledge to the employees about its dangerous side effects of this fatal diseases TB. He added that bone TB disease is a life-threatening disease and only awareness and proper treatment can curb tuberculosis.
Speaking on this topic, Dr. Samarendra Mishra of Reach, said that a big campaign is being started to free the country from TB. New technology and high quality checkup facilities and free medicines are being provided.
Adhunik Power Officer Sanjeet Sinha said that he hoped that after this workshop participating supervisor employees will make their subordinate and other employees more aware of this disease.
