Suffers brain haemorrhage
Jamshedpur : A 40-year-old man was seriously injured in a road mishap after being hit by a police vehicle near RD Tata School roundabout under Golmuri police station area on Sunday morning.
The victim identified as Birendra Singh was immediately rushed to the MGM Medical College and Hospital’s emergency. Sensing his condition the doctors on emergency duty referred him to the Tata Main Hospital.
The doctors at the medical college hospital maintained that the patient might have sustained brain haemorrhage and therefore they referred the patient to the Tata Main Hospital for a better treatment immediately.
According to sources, Singh an insurance agent by profession was riding a bike from his house at Namda Bustee in Golmuri toward Bistupur.
As he was crossing the RD Tata School turning, a high speed SUV hit him from behind. The SUV had a police sign on it. The driver of the vehicle soon fled leaving the victim in pool of blood.
Assistant sub-inspector, Surendra Sharma of Sakchi police station, who is posted at the MGM Medical College and Hospital, however, confirmed that there was a case of road mishap today, but he failed to take statement of the victim as he was not in a condition to talk.
