Jamshedpur, Jan. 7: A 23-year-old youth Akaash Kumar Singh has gone missing after he left his house in Sonari since late on Sunday evening.The police on Monday found his bike near the newly-built Domuhani bridge over Subernarekha river, triggering a fear among the family members that he might have committed suicide. The police pressed a team of divers in the river for searching the body, but no body was found till the afternoon.

OC, Sonaripolice station, Niraj Kumar Sinha confirmed about a missing report to have been lodged by Akaash’s father Samsher Singh late on Sunday night.
“A missing report has been filed of youth’s bike parked under lock near the Domuhanibridge, we as well as the family members suspected Akaash might have jumped into the river. We got a team of divers to trace the bike, but could not locate it,” said Sinha.

According to information, Akaash is a resident of Baluchela School Road in Sonari and had left the house at 8 pm on Sunday. The family members are apprehensive of the youth falling victim to some untoward incident. His father Samsher Singh is a retired Tata Steel employee.

The family members said that Akaash used to carry his mobile every time he went out of home but this he left his phone. They are worried about his whereabouts. “ My son is a simple person and has been involved in any issue but still he left home.We are really worried hope he is fine. We have requested the police to locate him,” said his father.
