Top participants Khalin Joshi, Anura Rohana; Karan Taunk to lead local challenge
Jamshedpur, Dec 18: A massive field of over 100 golfers will tee off on Thursday at the 17th Tata Open Golf Championship at the Golmuri Golf Course in Jamshedpur.
The four-day tournament which is offering a rich prize purse of Rs. 1 crore will be hosted at the 18-hole Golf Course from 20th – 23rd December, 2018. The Pro-Am will be played on 19th December, 2017.
The event which constitutes the last leg of the 2018 PGTI season will feature some of the top Indian professionals such as Asian Tour winners Khalin Joshi, Rashid Khan, Chikkarangappa and Chiragh Kumar, to name a few. The top foreign players in the field are Sri Lankans Anura Rohana (defending champion), Mithun Perera, N Thangaraja and K Prabagaran as well as Australian Kunal Bhasin.
The local challenge will be led by professional Karan Taunk of Jamshedpur. The field also features three leading amateurs from Jamshedpur, Navtez Singh, Aditya Panchamiya and Armaan Parikh.

This year there is the added excitement of the event being the last leg of the season. The tournament venue, the Golmuri Golf Course, is a lush green, beautiful and very well-maintained golf course which doesn’t allow golfers any room for error.
