Team also visited Hotel Virat where MS Dhoni spent his time after playing during his days of struggle. Neeraj Pandey has directed several hit bollywood movies like “A Wednesday”, Special 26 and Baby.
Coach of Mahendra Singh Dhoni-Milan Dutta, Subrato Das & Kajal Das were also present during the team visit as they had one time coached him when he played in U-16, U-19 and Ranji playing for Bihar / Jharkhand.
Tentatively the shooting for the film ‘M S Dhoni: The Untold Story’ will start from October 2015 and the team proceeded to Kharagpur on Friday.
Earlier in the week on Wednesday, June 17 Sushant reached Ranchi to gather information about Indian skipper Dhoni for his next film in which he will be seen playing the lead role.
He got a feel of the place where the cricketer grew up. Rajput, who recently played ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshy’, spent time with Dhoni’s friends and visited almost every place where Dhoni spends time when he is in Ranchi. The actor also met his parents.
Though Rajput was reticent about the meetings, sources close to him said the tour was “for homogenization” before shooting for the movie begins.
The actor, who left Ranchi on Thursday, visited Pan Singh’s residence at Mecon Colony where Dhoni spent his childhood, the bungalow in the same area that was later allotted to him by Mecon after he joined Team India and the current residence at Harmu Housing Colony.
The two-wheeler showroom owned by Gupta and Dhoni’s farmhouse on Ring Road, where Dhoni spends time with friends when he is in the city, also helped Rajput know about his reel life’s untold stories.
