Jamshedpur : Pappu Sardar, the well-known fan of Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit, today celebrated the release of Gulab Gang with women social activists and women working at Cheshire Home.
The die-hard fan organised a promo programme at Cheshire Home, the house of destitute and mentally retarded people. A cake cutting ceremony was organised on the occasion. The women working at Cheshire Home cut the cake to spread happiness among the people.
Women activists from Shakti Rupa organisation led by Parmila Patra participated in the programme. He also distributed greeting cards featuring message on women empowerment among the people.
Pappu who recently also organised a road show to promote her upcoming film ‘Dedh Ishquiya’, said that the fiml Gulab Gang is based on the plights on women and how they fight for their rights. He said that city-based women organisation Shakti Rupa has also come in his support.
It may be mentioned that Pappu has been celebrating Madhuri’s birthday since mid-90s and shot into the limelight for his attraction towards the actress. In 2008 he even got the opportunity to meet Madhuri.
