Jamshedpur, Oct 30: Even as the district administration has identified suitable areas to allot space for the makeshift shops for the selling of fire crackers ahead of Diwali, the seasoned businessmen with round the year involvement in transacting fire crackers have more.
The people whose business is primarily selling the crackers throughout the calendar year are apprehensive of loosing the market in the possibility of shifting the base.
Most of the shops that deals in wholesale business of the fire crackers are located in Jugsalai, one of the most densely populated area of the city, and, with sound returns amidst the residential area these shop keepers are afraid of losing a large chunk of profit, in case they are asked to put up their shops out of the city, for a temporary period though, in run up to the Diwali.
It may be recalled that last year the district administration had forced many a businessmen including both retail and wholesale shopkeepers to run their business from NH-33, which virtually, resulted in huge loss to the businessmen.
