Ranchi, Feb 25: Chief Secretary R.S. Sharma today suggested evolution of a monitoring mechanism of the companies in the state for investing in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.
He was speaking at the first meeting of the Joint task force of state government and Confederation of Indian Industry(CII)- was held here at Hotel Green Acres.
At the meeting held to promote the industrial development in the state the CII Chairman of the Jharkhand State Council S.K. Behera presented a vision document of Jharkhand in 2022.
The Chief Secretary said that the Joint task force has been conceptualized to address the key issues impeding the flow of investment in Jharkhand, providing inputs in terms of innovation, employment generation in the state, to provide inputs for promoting growth and development of the state.
Chief Secretary directed the CII to make a detailed study of establishing an Industrial corridor between Bharagoda and Barhi and establishment of airport at Jamshedpur.
The Chief Secretary emphasized on creating Land bank by the state government for facilitating industrial growth of the state. This Land Bank should be free of encroachment, he said.
At the meeting Industry Secretary Himani Pande suggested promoting Brand Jharkhand for attracting investment in the state.
Commercial Taxes Secretary M.R. Meena, Industry Director Dipankar Panda along with other representatives of Industry and officials were present at the meeting.
