Jamshedpur, Jan. 10: City’s famous social organization ‘Samarpan’ on Tuesday distributed unorganized workers registration letter among the workers of the unorganized sector during a programme held at Main Road in Agrico.
The letter issued by department of labour, employment training & skill development, government of Jharkhand was given away by Lalit das, convener of ‘Samarpan’. The card provided has been laminated by the organization so that it is not damaged for years.
Later, addressing the gathering, Lalit Das said, Jharkhand government is running several schemes for the workers of the unorganised sector but workers are still deprived of the schemes.
The main reason is that the workers are so bust in their daily work that they don’t get time to know about the schemes running in their favour.
He further said that ‘Samarpan’ organised a camp for the online registration of the workers on birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri on October 2, 2016 and the letters for the same were distributed today at Agrico.
On the occasion Neeraj Kumar, Dev Kumar, Sanjeev Nayak, Rupesh Sahu, Gyan Singh, Pradeep Kumar Dubey, Deepak Kumar Singh, Sonu Dutta and others were present.
