Jamshedpur: Bistupur-based cafeteria Cafe Regal witnessed a wonderful poetic evening under the name “Regal Reads” on 17th April.

It was an ‘Open Mic’ organized by Cafe Regal in association with the students of N.I.T. Jamshedpur. The evening witnessed the reading of various creations by several literature enthusiasts of young age. This proved that the love for literature prevails even in this generation.

The event was conducted by Ekansh Gupta and Vikramaditya Abhishek, both from N.I.T. Jamshedpur. It saw a lot of poetry being recited by numerous students and a few acts of stand-up comedy.

The poems reflected the emotions of the youth and had a diverse range of emotions be it a changing relationship between a child and his mother, love or friendship. Shivendra Shrivastava and Amar Nath, both Tata Steel employees, also performed at the event.

The evening ended with a poem on love and a short narrative of a child. The students in association with Café Regal plan to organize more events like this, where the citizens of Jamshedpur can come and showcase their talents.
